My dear Father
You will be glad to know that I have settled down in my new school and am feeling very happy with the way my studies are going on. The principal is strict but sympathetic. The teachers take pains in their work and the general atmosphere is good.
However, I have a problem. The school is 3 kilometers from the house and it begins at 7:30 a.m. The bus facility not being available, I have to walk down to the school with a heavy bag of books on my back. So when I reach school, I am totally exhausted and find it difficult to concentrate on my work in the first two classes. The afternoon journey back home is also quite tiring. Besides, sometimes I get late and my class teacher is annoyed with me.
Daddy, I would be grateful if you could kindly arrange to buy me a new bicycle. It will not only save me time and energy but also enable me to attend extra classes in the school in the afternoon.
Give my regards to Mummy.
