My Diary and Covid-19
Being a Delhite and almost spending 45 years of my life in old Delhi and South Delhi, I enjoyed & lived each and every moment of my life.
I used to go to school with my friends which was approximately 500 meters away from my home. I enjoyed that 10 minutes walk with my friends in the narrow lanes of Old Delhi, visiting Ghantaghar, Kamala Nagar and Kohalapur road every day which are the landmarks of that place.
Visiting Jeetgarh temple every Sunday with my Grandmother and my cousins used to be so much fun.
Enjoying, playing in Roshnara Garden during summer vacations was a mind freshening thing and then taking a long nap after getting tired used to be so relaxing. From enjoying Golgappe and chat papari to strolling kamla nagar market with my aunts and other family members used to be such a nice feeling of living in a joint family.
I really used to enjoy small trips to kamala nagar , Ghanta Ghar, Chandani Chowk on alternative days, bargaining, designing new dresses for myself, stitching, weaving sweaters, getting new ideas for learning new things.
Life was full of beautiful moments and contentment. After finishing my schooling I explored Delhi University, Cannuagth Place and Maharani Bagh for my eduction .
After spending 22 years of my life in Old Delhi, I got married & came to Vasant Kunj in South Delhi. It was quite different from Old Delhi. There was a lot of greenery, cleanliness, wide & less crowded roads.
I started to explore South Delhi. I visited Qutub Minar, Chhatterpur Temple, Lotus Temple, Sarojini Nagar Market, Humayun’s Tomb, Delhi Haat and the list is endless. S
South Delhi has been part of my life for almost 23 years now & it still is as I also work in South Delhi.
I am sharing all this with you because recently my story took a turn.
I shifted to Noida for betterment of my Life. Noida is more urbanized , systematic,Wide roads, full of greenery, neatness and tidy.
I was in a state of awe when I saw my Society for the first time. It is a confined society, full of facilities, peace, a beautiful environment and its serenity.
I was full of new hope & strength for arranging and shifting. In the meantime, COVID 19 spread its wings all over the world. Few cases were there in Noida & a national lockdown was announced when the cases reached 500 & we all were divided by boundaries of states & within human beings & tussle between state borders Delhi-Noida border is sealed to avoid spreading of COVID-19.
Being in essential service sometimes we are allowed on basis of traveling pass given by our Institute & sometimes not. Juggling between my office and home & waiting at Delhi-Noida to cross it on basis of our pass. I would always think ” Mera Border Kaun Sa Hai”.Delhi jo kabhi chhutega hi nahi & where I spent almost 45 years of my life or Noida where I am going to spend my rest of Life.
Delhi is the capital of India and heart of India and also mine.
Ok,better to signing off
juggling between Delhi(my office)- Noida(my home)
