Neeraj Chopra “Golden Boy” made India to proud by achieving Gold Medal in the Tokyo summer Olympics 2020 in Javelin’s throw on 7th August 2021.
Neeraj Chopra is a track and field athlete who won Gold Medal in the 2020 summer Olympic Tokyo and made India proud for his achievement.
Neeraj Chopra is ranked at 4 and he is the first Indian athlete to win the IAAF world title U – 20 championship in track and field.
The day of his memorable achievement, 7th August 2021 has been declared as National day for Javelin throw.

EARLY LIFE OF NEERAJ CHOPRA
Neeraj Chopra was born on 24 December 1997 in Khandra Village at Panipat in Haryana
He is 23 year old, Ror Maratha boy, 178 cm or 6 feet height and his weight is 86 kg. Neeraj Chopra is a simple guy and very down-to-earth.
His father’s name is Satish Kumar. He is a farmer by profession and cultivates in his native village Khandra, at Panipat in Haryana.
His mother’s name is Saroj Devi who is a housewife. Neeraj has two sisters.
Neeraj was obese in his childhood and other children would tease him. To get rid of obesity, he was enrolled in a gymnasium at Madlauda by his father. He was later enrolled in a gym in Panipat. This was the turning point in the life of Neeraj Chopra.
He was first exposed to Javelin throw in Shivaji Stadium in Panipat when he saw some javelin throwers. He was very inspired by this game & started practicing himself& participating in the game.
